Homemade French Fries

What you’ll need: Potatoes, oil, seasonings of your choice

Method:

Begin by giving your potatoes a good wash, and then slicing them into French fries at your desired thickness. Boil them in a saucepan for two or three minutes to soften, before draining and drying on some paper towel or a clean tea towel.

Pop your fries into a bowl, drizzle with a little oil, and season to your heart’s content. We love going for a classic salt seasoning, but feel free to spice things up! Toss the fries in the bowl to get them evenly coated and rough them up a bit for extra crunch when they cook.

Pop them in the air fryer in a single layer. It’s okay if they overlap slightly but cook them in batches if your air fryer gets too crowded. Cook for 9-10 minutes, and then at two-minute intervals until they have reached your desired crispiness! Serve with some tomato sauce and tuck in!

Crispy Cauliflower

What you’ll need: Cauliflower, oil, seasonings of your choice

Method

This easy method makes a great side dish and adds a bit of excitement to your cauliflower. Firstly, remove the leaves from your cauliflower head, wash it, and cut into florets.

Put your florets into a bowl, and drizzle with oil. Next, sprinkle over your seasoning. We love fajita seasoning for a sizzling treat! Simply toss in the bowl to make sure all your cauliflower is evenly coated in the mixture.

Put your tasty concoction into the air fryer in an even single layer. You may find you have to cook in batches if there’s too much overlap. Cook for five minutes at around 180c, then at three-minute intervals until your cauliflower is cooked as you like it.

This recipe works for most vegetables, especially broccoli or green beans. Try it with a few different vegetables to add a bit more flavour to your veg, either as a side dish or a healthy snack.

Chilli and Honey Glazed Salmon

What you’ll need: Salmon fillet, honey, chilli (powder/flakes/chopped), lime (optional)

Method

Glaze your salmon fillet with the honey, then sprinkle over your chilli. Be careful with how much you add if you don’t like it too spicy! With clean hands, rub it into the salmon and make sure it is thoroughly covered.

Place in the air fryer and cook for 7-9 minutes at 180c. When the outside is caramelised and your salmon is cooked through, serve with some new potatoes and green beans for a delicious wholesome meal. To add a zesty flavour to your succulent salmon, simply finish with a squeeze of lime.
