A great way to add a personalised sentiment for your loved ones, everyone will love receiving a card made with one of these methods.

Die-Cutting

This papercrafting technique has quickly become a firm favourite - it’s easy to do and allows you to create more intricate designs than cutting by hand. We have an extensive collection of dies and machines to make your projects quicker and easier, perfect when you have lots of cards to make!

If you would like your card to feature a traditional emblem of Easter that's full of character and charm, try using the one of our adorable Spring Dies to bring your work to life.

Paper and Card

Ideal for creating a base for your greeting, colourful cards and papers are sure to make your card stand out.

Card packs such are fantastic for creating simple but vibrant backgrounds, they are speedy and simple to work with and add beautiful effects with little effort. Or, if you prefer to work with paper, you can get packs that feature a variety of plain and patterned designs so you can cut and create your own backdrops and scenes if you want your card more personalised.

A good quality cardstock can also be used to create pop-up and 3D elements which are especially effective when combined with die-cut creatures.

Embellishments

Easter is synonymous with colours, and pastel tones are popular as they evoke the softness of spring. When making your Easter card, try playing with pastel embellishments such as buttons and flowers. They can be used to add finishing touches to your card or as a focal point.

To make your rabbit characters even cuter, using a heart sticker as their nose is an uncomplicated way to take your crafts up to a whole new cuteness level. You could also add feathers to your chick's wings and pom-poms to your Easter bunny's tail.

Stamps and Inks

Using stamps is an effective way to create stunning end results that both you and your kids can achieve. After you've put your stamp to paper, you could use fine liner pens to add hand-drawn details or even add glitter for a dazzling finish. We love the Easter stamp set for card making and they'd look even better coloured in.

Stamps also lend themselves well to bright yellow, pink, and blue pigment inks, all of which are Easter colour staples.

Top Tips

1. Test your supplies and techniques first. Your cardstock may be too thick or too thin for the techniques you want to use - test them before you start making your cards to avoid frustration later.

2. Match your base colour to a colour in your main image. E.g. if you’re using a grey bunny image that has a pink nose, use pink cardstock. This helps keep your colour palette consistent and gives your creations a professional air.

3. Repurpose your paper scraps. Use a craft punch to create shapes from the paper you’ve used on the front, continuing your theme on the inside.

4. Combine techniques for further interest. Two or three techniques often look the best as it stops the card from looking flat whilst avoiding a card from becoming too busy.
